Ingredients:

Let us see the ingredients to prepare Palak Paneer. Palak - 250 gms (washed) Paneer (cubes ) - 200gms   Chopped Onions - 2 medium size Chopped Tomatoes - 2 medium size , green chillies - 2   Chopped ginger - 1 inch, cumin Seeds - 1 tsp   Garlic - 10 cloves   Onion - 1 medium size Cut into small pieces Oil - 3 tbsp   Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp Salt as needed Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp

Process:

Turn on the flame and boil one litre of water in a vessel. Add spinach leaves in hot water and boil for three minutes. By cooking like this, Spinach retains its own colour and Palak Paneer comes out colourfully. After 3 minutes turn off flame. Take out Spinach leaves from boiling water and place it in a strainer.

If you want you can use Spinach water to get  Palak Paneer  more gravy . Keep it aside for cooling.Turn on flame and heat a pan. Add one tbsp of oil and allow it heat. Keep it in medium flame. Add garlic and ginger & fry for some time. Chop the garlic and then add. Fry like this for some time. After that add onions and mix it. Fry until the colour of onions changes.

Fry onions along with garlic and ginger. Now the colour of onions change. now add tomatoes. Fry for two minutes in medium flame. Fry for some time. Let us see,the tomatoes turns soft. Turn off flame and allow it to cool. After that we make it to paste.Take out the Spinach and onion & tomato mixture into the blending jar and make it into a paste.   Blend without adding water. Now the paste is coarse. Add little water and blend it again. Now the paste is smooth and ready to cook. Keep aside. Turn on flame and keep another pan. Add two tbsp of oil and let it heat.Once the oil is heated add cumin seeds

Now add chopped green chillies and onions which were cut into small pieces. Keep it in medium flame and fry them. Onions and green chillies lightly change  their colour.   Already we add green chillies, hence one tsp of red chilli powder is enough. Now add cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Fry for two minutes, until all masalas are mixed nicely with onions. Now all masalas are mixed well and oil comes out from the mixture. Add the prepared paste. Keep it in low flame. Mix well until the paste is mixed nicely with masalas.

If you want you can blend spinach separately and onion, tomato mixture separately  and add into the pan. Now add one tsp of salt. You can add salt according to your taste. Stir well. Cover it and fry for 2-3 minutes in medium flame. We have already fried Spinach and also fried onion, tomato mixture. So we need not fry  once again. After 2-3 minutes, we will see that Spinach paste is nicely fried. Now if you want, you can add fresh cream or curd or cashew paste

Mix well. Now the sufficient consistency is there. If you want more gravy, add cooked Spinach water. Now the paste is ready. Add Paneer cubes. You can cut Paneer into any size as you wish. Gently stir it.Palak Paneer is ready. Turn off flame. Shift  Palak Paneer into serving bowl. Garnish with grated Paneer. If you like this recipe, like it and share it. Try this and comment on it.
