Hello, Namaste readers! Today I'll show you how you can make easy homemade momos at home! It's a Nepali dish. (Correction: It's a Thai dish) Very tasty. Today I'll show you how you can make these easily at home! First we'll have to make the dough. Here's what we'll need for the dough: 1 cup of flour. 1 tbsp of cooking oil. 1/2 tsp of salt.

And I've taken here 1 cup of water... but I'll add it in small amounts, as much as we need. Now let's make the dough! In a mixing bowl, I'll add the flour, the salt, and then mix it all together. and now, the oil. then mix the oil well too. kneading the dough is very important. The oil and salt must be nicely mixed with the flour. mix it for about 3 minutes. Now I'll add small amounts of water and prepare the dough.

We can't add too much water or the dough might be too soft. The dough should have a little hardness, It can't be too soft. Since we're gonna boil this in steam afterwards, it can't be too soft. The dough is ready, now I'll cover it with a wet towel. and I'll keep this aside for the moment. The dough should be ready while I prepare the chicken filling. Now I'll prepare the chicken filling.

The ingredients we'll need for that are: Here I have 1 cup of minced meat of chicken breast. I've prepared this minced meat at home.... you can check that out if you want. 1/2 cup of onion slices, finely sliced. Not exactly minced, just sliced very finely. 1/2 cup of onion leaves, sliced like this.

1 tbsp of cooking oil. 1 tbsp of garlic-ginger paste. 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder. Salt, I've taken to my taste... Please adjust it to your liking. 1/2 tsp of green chilli slices, Please adjust this to your liking as well. And I have here a piece of lemon... I'll use this for a little lemonjuice. Now I'll mix the ingredients together. Now in a mixing bowl, I'll take the minced meat, onion slices, oil... ginger-garlic paste, black pepper powder, salt, green chilli slices.

some lemon juice, some onion leaves. Now I'll mix them all together. Mixing is best when done by hand. The filling is now ready! Now I'll set this aside. While I was preparing the filling, the dough was done and the dough was now soft. Now I'll make small roti out of this. I'll take small amounts from the dough and make them into 'roti's. It's best to cut them in equal sizes. Now I'll make them into 'roti's. We have to roll them very thinly. I'll roll the rest of the 'roti's like this.

Then I'll make them into dumplings. I'm done making all the 'roti's... now I'll make the dumplings. I'll place the chicken fillings in the center of the roti. Now I'll start folding it. Just like we do foldings in sarees! then makes the ends meet, like this. I'll show you another one. We have to fold it little by little, just like we do foldings in sarees. As you keep doing little folds, you'll start to see the ends meet.

And then we connect the ends, just like so. Now I'll prepare the rest of the dumplings the same way. I've prepared all the momos! Now I'll boil them in steam. Since I don't have the attachment required to boil stuff in steam, I've fashioned an aluminium foil in a saucepan like this, I've used a star screwdriver to poke holes through it and secured it to the pan. Now I'll pour 4 cups of water in it. Wipe off the water a bit.

And now I'll brush a little oil in the foil. By doing so, the momo's won't stick to the pan and will come off easily. Now I'll light the stove. and place the dumplings on the aluminium foil. And then put the lid on. I'll steam these for 15-20 minutes. I'll come back after 15 minutes. after 15 minutes... I'll take the lid off.

You will see the flour has boiled properly. Now I'll take the dumplings off the pan. They come off easily because we brushed the oil earlier. And these are my homemade momos! Nowadays, Dhaka's most fast food shops, especially 'pitha' shops... sell these momos, They're very delicious and tasty. Now we can easily make these at home, without much hassle.
