The Red Fort
Hello friends. India is a traditional ritual country it has many historic monuments. These monuments shows the knowledge and their Interests of our rulers,Red Fort is one of them. It is said as one of the historic Fort of India. It is under the control of government and is the place for prime minster speeches. It is constructed by Indian kings and is located in Delhi, which is the capital city of India. Even though it is constructed by Indian kings Britishers took it from them.
After the independence it was taken into hands of Indian government by this blog, I am giving you information about who constructed it and what is it's significance and it's history. In Delhi this monument is being constructed by Shah jahan he even gave the plan to the structure. There is 360 years history behind this red sand stone fort. This construction started in 1638 and it took 15 years to complete it. Shah Jahan who knew about the sculptures constructed it by Persian sculptures near Yamuna river in 120 acres.

Fort is surrounded by Yamuna river, it is fortified capital of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. In 1783 the Sikh Misl Karorisinghia, led by Bhagel singh Dhaliwal, conquered Delhi and the Red Fort. Briefly some people in Mughals tie up with Sikhs and gave the country to them. Muhammad Bahadur Shah Zafar is the last emperor to live in Red Fort. the Red Fort was not defended during the 1857 uprising against the British the Bahadur Shah Zafar left the Fort when Red Fort went into the hands of Britishers.

Many freedom fighters fought for it after the independence in 1947 it again came into hands of Indians. Before 1947 Britishers used it as army house. From the Fort many sketches were drawn to destroy Indians and also took some safety measures. For Britishers after the independence it was the capital for all national festivals and national support. It is also the famous tourist spot and also the valuable historic monument.
Indian prime minister hoists a flag every year on august 15th on independence day. It shows the priority of Indian government towards Red Fort. In 1913, it was declared as the most famous and historic monument. The walls of the fort are smooth with wired structures. It has two main entrances they are Lahori gate and Delhi gate.
Lahori Gate is the main gate to the Red Fort towards Chatta Chowk some shopping stalls are placed near to walls towards Chhatta Chowk and the there is a gate near to it. It is divided into two divisions there is Delhi gate at the end of the street. In this Fort there are Diwan-i-Aam,Diwan-i-Khas,Nahr-i-Bihisht,Moti Masjid.
Along this, the pictures and history of people who fought to save Red fort are also displayed there are also some museums about our history. Laser show displayed about the Mughal history attracts the tourists so the tourists also visit this place.
Fort was the site of a terrorist attack on 22 December 2000, carried out by six Lashkar-e-Taiba members. Two soldiers and a civilian lost their lives.
