After the independence it was taken into hands of Indian government by this blog, I am giving you information about who constructed it and what is it's significance and it's history. In Delhi this monument is being constructed by  Shah jahan he even gave the plan to the structure. There is 360 years history behind this red sand stone fort. This construction started in 1638 and it took 15 years to complete it. Shah Jahan who knew about the sculptures constructed it by Persian sculptures near Yamuna river in 120 acres.

Fort is surrounded by Yamuna river, it is fortified capital of  Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. In 1783 the Sikh Misl Karorisinghia, led by Bhagel singh Dhaliwal, conquered Delhi and the Red Fort. Briefly some people in Mughals tie up with Sikhs and gave the country to them. Muhammad Bahadur Shah Zafar is the last emperor to live in Red Fort. the Red Fort was not defended during the 1857 uprising against the British the Bahadur Shah Zafar left the Fort when Red Fort went into the hands of Britishers.

Many freedom fighters fought for it after the independence in 1947 it again came into hands of Indians. Before 1947 Britishers used it as army house. From the Fort many sketches were drawn to destroy Indians and also took some safety measures. For Britishers after the independence it was the capital for all national festivals and national support. It is also the famous tourist spot and also the valuable historic monument.
